Erin Beckemeier is a mom of five. Her second oldest was born with complex CHDs and has undergone four open heart surgeries as well as countless other procedures, including four pacemaker changes in his sixteen years of life. She has been an elementary educator for 18 years and resides near St. Louis, Missouri. Her hobbies include cycling and contributing what she can to the congenital heart community. She serves on the Patient and Caregiver Committee of the Heart Rhythm Society and is co-chair of the Community Outreach Committee of the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcome Collaborative.
